Design Poet – Ingrid Hulskamp (1984)
The work of the Dutch designer Ingrid Hulskamp is playful, poetic, and delicate with an unconventional appearance. Her work, that balances between art and design, consists of interactive pieces meant to evoke a tactile action of the public.
After completing a degree in Fashion Design Ingrid Hulskamp chose to continue her education with the innovative MA Textile Futures course at Central Saint Martins in London. It is during this time that Hulskamp developed her unique design style with the motto: MEDITATIVE PLAY.
“The idea is to develop design that enhances living in the here and now; to bring about moments of playfulness and contemplation.”
Her work is being exhibited internationally, including at: Salone Satellite in Milan, Selfridges in London, Mint Gallery in London, Design Biennale Bio 23 in Ljubljana, Redbull Studios in New York and the Shanghai Museum of Glass
